David Lowe, a Republican recently elected to the Texas State House for the 91st district, used his social media platform in early November 2025 to express concerns about property taxes and state-funded services for undocumented immigrants.

On November 5, Lowe stated, “Education, healthcare, social services, transportation services, correctional facilities, there is no eliminating property taxes without eliminating the expense that illegals burden taxpayers with.”

The following day, on November 6, he reiterated his position in another post: ” We can’t eliminate property taxes until we eliminate taxpayer-funded services for illegal aliens. Texans shouldn’t be forced to foot the bill for those who broke the law to get here. The threshold of revenue that must be replaced to eliminate property taxes is too high,” Lowe wrote.

Lowe also addressed political divisions in a separate tweet on November 6: “So they leave the state for a month and called us racists and now we are friends? Wrong. Don’t forget they want to kill babies in the womb, gender transition kids and destroy our society. #txlege”

David Lowe assumed office after being elected in 2025 to represent Texas’s 91st House district, succeeding Stephanie Klic.
