The City of Fort Worth has received the Best of Texas Award in the Best Workforce/Workplace Initiative category for its City Hall-Retrofit and Move project. The recognition was given by Government Technology at the Texas Digital Government Summit, which took place on July 24 at the JW Marriott in Austin.

Marilyn Marvin, director of property management, and Sallie Trotter, deputy director chief technology officer in IT Solutions, accepted the award on behalf of the city. Their participation highlighted Fort Worth’s ongoing efforts to enhance government operations and workplace infrastructure.

According to officials, the retrofit of City Hall represents a significant step in providing more efficient and collaborative workspaces for employees while also improving public access to city services.

The city plans to formally acknowledge this accomplishment during its City Council work session scheduled for August 19.

“Sallie Trotter and Marilyn Marvin, center, accept the Best of Texas Award for recent innovations at Fort Worth City Hall.”
