Rep. Roger Williams, U.S. Congressman for Texas’s 25th district, provided updates on his recent legislative activities and community engagement through a series of posts in August 2025.
On August 16, Williams encouraged constituents to stay informed about his work by subscribing to his weekly newsletter: “Don’t miss this week’s update on my work in Congress serving #TX25! Visit my website to subscribe to my weekly e-newsletter. https://t.co/4Wff0x4VHI”.
Two days later, he highlighted the passage of significant legislation supported by House Republicans and signed into law by the President: “The #BigBeautifulBill passed by @HouseGOP and signed into law by @POTUS, restores law and order. https://t.co/88RKoHheBS” (August 18).
That same day, Williams reported meeting with local agriculture leaders in Stephenville to discuss issues important to farmers and ranchers. He stated: “I joined local agriculture leaders in Stephenville for a roundtable to hear directly from the ag community. We discussed key Farm Bill priorities to better support our nation’s farmers and ranchers, and prevention/eradication efforts I’m backing in Congress to combat screwworm https://t.co/f6gOQ1SNVo” (August 18).
Williams has represented Texas’s 25th congressional district since winning election in 2012 against Elaine M. Henderson with 58.4% of the vote. In subsequent elections, he secured victories over Marco Montoya (2014), Kathi Thomas (2016), Julie Oliver (2018 and 2020), and Chad Hagg (2024). His most recent re-election was marked by a decisive win over Hagg with more than 99% of the vote.
