Some cities in Texas are giving businesses fewer restrictions as they begin to open.

Community Impact Newspaper reported that just four days after restaurants opened at 25% capacity, Gov. Greg Abbot, allowed several other businesses to open and decreased the number of restrictions placed on them. Keller, Roanoke and North Fort Worth are among those taking advantage of the decreased restrictions.

Although the cities are operating with fewer restrictions, businesses can still choose to implement additional precautionary measures.

Rick Rice, owner of Soccer Post in Keller, is making sure his employees and customers stay safe by allowing just a couple of customers in the store at a time, Community Impact reported.

“We are keeping a distance and asking customers who come in and out to sanitize,” Rice said. “Products that get touched are also sanitized.”

Director of Economic Development for Fort Worth Robert Sturns told the newspaper that businesses need to understand which restrictions and safety measures are best practices for them.

“As businesses start to reopen, it’s important that we understand where they are now,” Sturns told Community Impact. “Some businesses have been pretty creative in working to maintain operations, some might still be closed, and some might be in transition or somewhere in between.”
