The Dallas County Emergency Business Assistance Program (EBAP) is providing financial aid to small businesses that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to help these organizations "stop bleeding" and work toward their pre-pandemic state.
According to the National Development Council, applications for grants are being accepted through July 26. Businesses with 100 employees or fewer that have a revenue under $10 million are eligible to apply. Businesses must also be located in Dallas County, but not the city of Dallas; have suffered at least a 25% income loss; and be current in tax payments.
Funds for the program come from the CARES Act, which supplied $35 million for the Dallas County program.
The most a business can receive is $50,000 and all loans are eligible to be forgiven. Funds can be used on payroll, lease payments and utility bills.
Business excluded from the program include franchisees, rental companies and age-restricted businesses.
