The Fort Worth community marked a significant milestone with the opening of Casa de los Sueños, a new housing initiative aimed at supporting families with children experiencing homelessness. This development is situated in the Las Vegas Trail neighborhood and aims to provide more than just shelter; it offers access to professional, educational, and health-related services for 55 families.

Casa de los Sueños is the first facility of its kind in Fort Worth. It represents a step forward in efforts to reduce family homelessness and contributes to the ongoing revitalization of the Las Vegas Trail area. The project involved converting a former hotel into supportive housing, transforming what was once considered a blighted property into a community asset.

District 3 Councilmember Michael D. Crain commented on the significance of this initiative: “Our investments in revitalizing Las Vegas Trail continue to pay off, with Casa de los Sueños as the latest success story. This project not only helps families in need get back on their feet but also turns this former blighted hotel property into a beautiful community asset.”

The funding for Casa de los Sueños came from both public and private sources, underscoring the collaborative effort behind this endeavor.
