At a City Council meeting on Tuesday, more than $2.1 million was allocated to programs under the Crime Control and Prevention District (CCPD). These programs are intended to benefit residents of Fort Worth by providing financial support to local agencies offering community services.

Funding for CCPD Community-Based Programs is determined by a panel and approved by the CCPD board of directors. The selection panel includes staff and community representatives who ensure that the agencies receiving funds align with the board's objectives. On February 25, the board approved funding for six crime prevention programs, totaling $2,137,221.34. These programs are supported by the CCPD Community-Based Fund.

The funding for these agencies will be distributed in Fiscal Year 2025. Contracts for the six programs are set to conclude in June 2028.
