Senator Tan Parker, a Republican representing Texas’ 12th Senate district since 2023, recently addressed several topics on his social media account, ranging from national security concerns to political philosophy and economic innovation.
On September 4, 2025, Parker criticized the use of Chinese-made drones near a U.S. military installation in El Paso. He wrote, “El Paso flying Chinese DJI drones near Fort Bliss is reckless. It’s time to file legislation to BAN CCP-linked drones from Texas skies. America’s national security is not for sale.”
The following day, Parker shared insights from his participation at a major business event in Dallas. On September 5, 2025, he posted: “Exciting conversations underway at the 2025 Texas Traders Convention in Dallas! Today I joined a panel with @ylanmui of the @PentaGroup and former Congressman and House Financial Services Chair @JebHensarling to discuss innovation, markets, finance, and the future of Texas”.
Later that same day, Parker commented on statements by Senator Kaine regarding the source of individual rights. He stated: “Democrats like Sen. Kaine are wrong—our rights don’t come from government, they come from God. If government gives rights, it can also take them away. We must fight to defend our God-given liberty. Always.”
Parker was elected to the Texas State Senate in 2023 after replacing Angela Paxton as representative for District 12.
