Senator Tan Parker, who has represented Texas’s 12th Senate district since 2023, recently shared a series of posts on social media highlighting community events and new educational initiatives in the state.
On October 10, 2025, Parker expressed gratitude to several individuals and groups involved in a local event. He wrote, “A special thank-you goes to Marty Bryan and his incredible team at Marty B’s for their hospitality and words of encouragement, to Big City Outlaws for bringing the house down with fantastic live music, our great photographers, the fun hat bar, and to Stacy Schriever for her”.
In a follow-up post on the same day, Parker extended thanks from his family and team: “From Beth, our family, team and me — thank you for making this year’s Fall Fiesta such a success! Nights like this remind us why Texas stands apart: because of the faith, friendship, and freedom we share. Together, we’re building an even stronger future for the Lone Star State!”
On October 11, 2025, Parker announced an initiative aimed at students pursuing higher education in Texas. He stated: “New for Texans preparing for college! Oct. 13–19 is Free College Application Week — qualifying students who apply to any Texas public university or community college through ApplyTexas will have their application fees waived.
