Senator Tan Parker, a Republican representing Texas’s 12th Senate district since 2023, recently shared updates on social media regarding charitable giving and educational standards in the state.
On September 13, 2025, Parker posted about a donation to a local nonprofit: “This morning, I was honored to present a $10,000 donation from @Amazon to @AbilityConnect as part of @NTxGivingDay!
Serving more than 1,000 Texans with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Ability Connection provides care, support, and opportunity that helps every https://t.co/r4TD4RyFDm“.
The following day, Parker addressed concerns about educator conduct on social media. On September 14, he wrote: “Texas educators are held to a higher standard — any teacher celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk has no place in our schools. This behavior is sickening and must be reported.
Our children deserve classrooms led by men and women of integrity and decency — not by those”.
Later that same day, Parker reflected on his own political beginnings while referencing conservative activist Charlie Kirk: “I started in youth politics at 16, building the first teenage Republican club in Tarrant County, and then working with College Republicans and Young Republicans.
But watching #CharlieKirk build Turning Point USA far beyond one campus and ignite a revolutionary movement at https://t.co/uBVWYPngFZ“.
Parker succeeded Angela Paxton as senator for Texas’s 12th district after being elected in 2023.
