City of Watauga issued the following announcement.
12-24-2020 - 4:20 PM - We have the main completely loaded, you should have normal water pressure and service. If you do not have water service, please call 817-514-5897.
12-24-2020 - 3:50 PM - they are loading the main with water now
We appreciate the pizzas delivered by Christine who lives on Summer Hill Lane.
12-24-2020 - 3:00 PM - We are connecting the pipes and about finished. Soon we will open the valves, load the water mains and flush the system. During loading process, you will have water pressure restored but it will vary until all the lines are loaded. If there is air in the lines, just let it run until you have no air. Will let everyone know when we start opening valves.
12-24-2030 - 2:15 PM - Having to regroup on repair, will give new eta when we can better estimate the time.
12-24-2020 - 12:30 PM - The vac truck is offsite to dump the debris from excavating. Pushing the estimated water service time to 3:00.
12-24-2020 - 12:00 PM - We are going to have to shut off McCoy now from Summer Hill Lane to Hightower Drive. If all goes well, we may be able to restore water service around 1:00-2:00 PM.
12-24-2020 - 10:30 AM - In order to complete the repair, we will be shutting down at Ridgetop lane, Sunny hill, Richardson from Ridgetop to Summer hill, Mccoy Drive from Summer hill to Sunny hill, and all of Summer hill around 11:15 AM today. If you still have water service, please fill you bathtub with water if you desire. You can use it to flush toilets. Also, fill a pitcher for drinking.
12-24-2020 - 7:50 AM - The crew is still working to make the repair to the leaking valve.
The water main break on Summer Hill Lane is still being repaired. The Utilities Division of the Public Works Department shall continue to work to restore water service.
