Fort Worth Municipal Court has scheduled a Court in the Community/Warrant Forgiveness event for April 12, from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will take place at Vivian J. Lincoln Library, located at 8829 McCart Ave.

The event aims to assist individuals with outstanding citations filed with the Fort Worth Municipal Court. According to Court Director William Rumuly, "We are a Safe Harbor Court, meaning we do not arrest persons who come voluntarily to see us on their outstanding cases." Participants at the event may resolve their cases and could be eligible for alternatives such as community service or a reduced fine based on their ability to pay.

Organizers expect to accommodate up to 120 individuals on a first-come, first-served basis. Eligible cases include Class C criminal cases like traffic violations, ordinance violations, and penal code violations.

Rumuly encourages any person with an outstanding citation to contact the court immediately to explore available options for case resolution. Additional information can be obtained by calling 817-392-6700.

Questions about the event clarify that it is exclusively for Fort Worth citations. Additionally, the Safe Harbor status of the court ensures residents can visit without fear of arrest for outstanding warrants.

Further details can be accessed either online or by contacting the court during business hours.
