WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Roger Williams (TX-25) issued the following statement on the Biden Administration’s proposed federal emissions standards for gas-powered vehicles from 2027 and beyond:

“President Biden continues to attack small business owners and families with his out-of-touch, socialist policies,” said Congressman Roger Williams. “The Administrations new proposed vehicle emissions standards, if implemented, will further push our nation’s economy down a dangerous path and drive up expenses for everyday Americans. The government should not be in the business of picking winners and losers in the market, as it stifles competition and prevents innovation. Instead, we should let the free-market work and provide consumers with affordable choices. It is time for the Biden Administration to listen and stop submitting to the extreme left and over-regulating American businesses and punishing the pocketbooks of the already struggling American people.”
