WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Roger Williams (TX-25) and members of the House Committee on Small Business voted on May 22 to pass H.R. 1730, Supporting Small Business and Career and Technical Education Act of 2023, and H.R. 1606, the Veteran Entrepreneurship Training Act of 2023, out of committee to be sent to the floor of the House of Representatives.

"Starting a small business takes bravery and courage," said Congressman Roger Williams. "These bipartisan bills will provide resources to both small businesses and our nation's veterans to ensure they receive the training and qualifications to succeed. The Supporting Small Business and CTE Act will connect CTE graduates to communities where their unique skill set is desperately needed. While the Veteran Entrepreneurship Training Act authorizes the Boots to Business program that assists transitioning service members to start and grow their own businesses. I thank the members of the House Committee on Small Business for supporting these bills and look forward to their consideration on the House floor soon."
