Tarrant County home prices fall in January 2023 compared to January 2022

In January 2023, the median sale price of a home in Tarrant County fell by $1,507 from the same period in the previous year, while total sales decreased by 29.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

Data shows that there were 1,963 homes sold in January 2023, with a median sale price of $156,332 - a 1% decrease from the $157,839 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 2,790 homes sold in Tarrant County in January 2022.

For context, the median sales tax in Tarrant County, based on the latest available data from 2018, was $3,998, which stands at 2.6% of January 2023's median home sale price.
