WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Roger Williams (TX-25) issued the following statement on Tuesday following the House passage of H.J. Res. 44, a Congressional Review Act resolution disapproving of the ATF’s stabilizing brace rule:

“Joe Biden continues his attack on the Second Amendment putting millions of Americans at risk of prosecution by the federal government,” said Congressman Williams. “Throughout history, we have seen time and time again that they first come for your guns and the rest follows. Not only is this a threat to our rights but a direct attack on our veterans, who have historically used stabilizing braces to safely participate in recreational shooting. Today, House Republicans fought back against Biden’s anti-American policies and passed legislation to stop the enforcement of the ATF’s stabilizing brace rule. I am proud to have voted in favor of the H.J. Res. 44, and I will never waiver in my support for the Second Amendment and protecting Americans from government overreach.”
