Here are a few ways you can enjoy your weekend in The American Dream City. 

Cowboys host Commanders

Your hometown Cowboys host the Washington Commanders 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, 2023, at AT&T Stadium. Don’t miss the 27th Annual Red Kettle Kickoff halftime show featuring the one and only Dolly Parton! Limited tickets are available now at SeatGeek.com.

Mission Arlington Thanksgiving

Beginning at 8 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, 2023, the Mission Arlington® family will deliver turkeys, hams, food baskets, and cooked meals to the homes of more than 6,000 families. Last year, 26,181 people (6,293 families) received a Thanksgiving meal. Turkeys and Thanksgiving food are needed. You can help volunteer to pack meals and deliver them to families. Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas

Celebrate the magic of the season during Holiday in the Park where Six Flags Over Texas will transform into a festive wonderland complete with millions of lights, scrumptious holiday treats, and classic live entertainment! Click here for more information. It runs through New Years’ Day. 

José Guadalupe Posada: Legendary Printmaker of Mexico

Experience the artistry of José Guadalupe Posada, a visionary illustrator whose legacy is perhaps the most influential of all Mexican artists but whose name was almost lost to history. Forever Forest Visiting Exhibit

Forever Forest by Omaha Children’s Museum, is an immersive exhibit that teaches families how their everyday lives are connected to forests through the ways they live, work, and play. Families will enjoy hands-on activities focused on forest life and sustainable harvesting. Visit the River Legacy Nature Center to explore the forest like never before. Climb, crawl and slide on treetops, become a conductor for a day and work a kid-sized replica of a Union Pacific engine, or work together to build a house as you learn about the many things wood is used for! The exhibit runs through Saturday, Feb. 10, 2023.

Texas Christkindl Market

In its 13th year, the Texas Christkindl Market, presented by Reliable Commercial Construction, is a free, family friendly market in Arlington featuring a unique shopping experience for holiday gifts, decorations, and one-of-a-kind finds. This year's event is scheduled from Nov. 24 through Dec. 23, 2023, at the North Plaza at Globe Life Field. Click here to learn more.

Beacon Family Game Night

Pet Adoptions at The Highlands PetSmart!

Join Arlington Animal Services inside PetSmart at The Arlington Highlands for a tail-wagging, family-friendly, pet-saving community event 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023. Adorable adoptable pets looking for new homes will be available inside PetSmart and ready for immediate adoption. Scheduled events are subject to cancellation without notice due to unfavorable weather conditions (heat, cold, storms, etc.) for the safety and protection of adoptable pets, volunteers, and staff.

Silent Book Club

The book club with no assigned reading and no pressure! Meet once a month at local spots around Arlington and Grand Prairie to read, drink, and be in community with other bookworms. Bring any book you choose, enjoy some refreshments, and stay for optional socializing just before and after our reading time. At this special Thanksgiving meetup, meet at the Northeast Branch Library 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023. and make custom bookish tote bags before our regular reading time. Enjoy light refreshments and feel free to bring your own.

The Drop: HEX

The Drop is back in Shift4 Arena at Texas Live! 11 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, featuring the best regional and national EDM artists. Free parking and free admission every Saturday night after 11 p.m. You must be 18 years of age or older to attend. Claim your free tickets by clicking here. Sunday Brunch

Ventana Grille at the Tierra Verde Golf Club clubhouse is now serving brunch from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each Sunday. Menu items include four savory Eggs Benedict entrées, Shrimp-N-Grits, Ginger Salmon, and our favorite - Napoleon's Last Meal, a buttermilk fried chicken breast over bourbon french toast and served with maple syrup! Guests can also order off of our à la carte menu, making the Sunday Brunch a great option for families, picky eaters or those with smaller appetites. Reservations Welcomed: 817-548-5047. 

Concert at Arlington Music Hall

The Arlington Music Hall has a concert you can enjoy this weekend. You can experience Chapel Hart 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023. Click on the event for ticket information.
