Most City offices, including City Hall, will be closed on December 25th for the Christmas holiday, according to a statement released by the city. Emergency services will, however, be available as usual.

In addition to the closure of City offices, there will be no solid waste collections, including garbage, recycling, yard waste, or bulk, on both Christmas Day and New Year's Day. The collection schedules will be temporarily adjusted from December 25th to January 6th to accommodate the closures.

The City's four drop-off stations and the Environmental Collection Center will also be closed on December 25th, but will reopen on December 26th. These locations will also be closed on New Year's Day and reopen on January 2nd.

For those interested in animal adoptions and intakes, the North Animal Campus and Chuck & Brenda Silcox Animal Care & Adoption Center will be open from noon to 6 p.m. for adoptions and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for intakes on December 24th. However, they will be closed on December 25th.

Residents looking to visit any of the Fort Worth Public Library locations should plan accordingly, as all library locations will be closed on December 24th and 25th.

On December 25th, various recreational facilities will also be closed, including all community centers, Haws Athletic Center, FW@6 programs, Log Cabin Village, and the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge. Additionally, the water features at the Water Gardens will be turned off on Christmas Day. Municipal golf courses will also be closed on December 25th, but will resume regular operating hours on December 26th.

For any water-related emergencies or inquiries, the Water Department's automated system can be accessed by calling the 24-hour call center at 817-392-4477.

Trinity Metro, the local transportation agency, will operate on a modified schedule on December 25th. Passengers are advised to refer to the full modified schedule for more information.
