Southeast Connector: Southbound Us 287 Reduced to One Lane From Village Creek Road to Carey Street Overnights Through Feb. 8

Want to stay in the know about the Texas Department of Transportation's Southeast Connector Project and how construction activity may affect your commute? Each Friday, the City of Arlington will share the latest information about the $2.1 billion project, which will rebuild and widen approximately 11 miles of I-20, I-820 and US 287 between now and 2027.

 Residents can also add their contact information on the Southeast Connector Project website to receive updates directly via text or email. 

When complete, the Southeast Connector Project will tie in the east and southeast part of Tarrant County to the central part of the county while relieving congestion, increasing safety and improving efficiency for the entire Metroplex.

Special Messages:

  • Southbound I-820 interchange ramp to westbound I-20 closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5 to 6 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6. Traffic will exit to Business 287 before re-entering I-20.

Please note: Speed limits are now reduced to 55 mph within the entire corridor.

Southbound US 287 at Village Creek Road

  • Southbound US 287 reduced to one lane from Village Creek Road to Carey Street from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Dec. 19-Feb. 8.
  • Southbound US 287 closed at Village Creek Road 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Jan. 3.
Northbound I-820 at Martin Street

  • Highway Closure: Northbound I-820 closed between Martin Street and Berry Street from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. through Jan. 3.
Eastbound I-20 at Anglin Drive

  • Nightly, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. July 31 through Dec. 30: Eastbound I-20 reduced to two lanes between Anglin Drive and I-820.
Eastbound I-20 at Wichita Street

  • Nightly, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Dec. 11-Feb. 3: Eastbound I-20 reduced to one lane between Wichita Street and Business 287.
Southbound I-820 at Ramey Ave.

  • Southbound I-820 reduced to one lane between Ramey Avenue and Wilbarger Street through Dec. 29.
Northbound I-820 at Berry Street

  • Nightly, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Jan. 2: Southbound I-820 reduced to one lane of traffic between E. Berry Street and Rosedale Street.
Westbound I-20 at Anglin Drive

  • 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Dec. 11-Jan. 19: Westbound I-20 reduced to one lane at Anglin Drive.
Southbound I-820 at Lancaster Avenue

  • I-820 southbound reduced to one lane at Lancaster Avenue from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Dec. 29.
Southbound I-820 at Meadowbrook Drive

  • 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Jan. 19: Southbound I-820 reduced to one lane at Meadowbrook Drive.
Southbound I-820 at Sun Valley Drive

  • Nightly, 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Jan. 2 through Jan. 31: Right lane closed on southbound I-820 at Sun Valley Drive.
Northbound US 287 at Village Creek Road

  • Northbound US 287 reduced to one lane at Village Creek Road 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Jan. 3.
Westbound I-20 at I-820

  • 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Dec. 18 through Jan. 13: I-20 westbound reduced to one lane of traffic between Bowman Springs Road and I-820.
Eastbound I-20 at US 287

  • 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Dec. 20 through Jan. 19: Eastbound I-20 reduced to two lanes of traffic at US 287.
Westbound I-20 Ramp to Bowman Springs Road

  • 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Dec. 1 through Jan. 5: Westbound I-20 exit ramp closed to Bowman Springs Road.
