On January 26, a delegation from Oman visited the vibrant city of Fort Worth as part of their tour of North America. The delegation, organized by the Fort Worth Office of Innovation in collaboration with the Thunderbird School of Management of Arizona State University, chose Fort Worth as one of their destinations due to its impressive innovation, tourism, and economic development initiatives.

The visit commenced with an informal greeting at the Fort Worth Club, where the delegation had the opportunity to meet with various representatives from the city and the community. Carlo Capua, the Chief of Strategy and Innovation for the City of Fort Worth, extended an official welcome to the group, while Steve Montgomery, President of the Fort Worth Chamber, provided welcome remarks.

During their time in Fort Worth, the delegation engaged in fruitful discussions on topics such as tourism, economic development, and health initiatives. They had the pleasure of meeting Estela Martinez Stuart, the Director of Tourism for Visit Fort Worth, who shared insights into the city's efforts to promote tourism. Additionally, Cynthia Gonzales, from Cook Children’s Hospital Global Health Services, provided valuable information on the healthcare sector.

To further acquaint the delegation with the city, a tour of downtown Fort Worth was organized. The tour included visits to prominent landmarks such as Sundance Square and the Sinclair Hotel, allowing the delegation to experience the vibrant atmosphere and architectural marvels of the city.

No visit to Fort Worth would be complete without a trip to the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. The delegation had the opportunity to witness the awe-inspiring Fort Worth Herd, a daily cattle drive that showcases the city's rich Western heritage. Immersed in the authentic Texan atmosphere, the delegation also explored other attractions in the Stockyards area.

The Omani delegation expressed their admiration for Fort Worth's dedication to innovation, economic growth, and tourism. Their visit provided valuable insights and fostered a strong bond between the two regions. As the delegation concluded their tour, they left with newfound knowledge and appreciation for the City of Fort Worth and its commitment to progress.

The visit by the Omani delegation not only highlights Fort Worth's growing reputation as a global hub for innovation and tourism but also underscores the importance of international collaborations in fostering cultural exchange and economic growth.
