Keep Fort Worth Beautiful (KFWB) is hosting its 39th Annual Cowtown Great American Cleanup on Saturday, March 23. The Cowtown Great American Cleanup is KFWB’s largest annual litter cleanup and beautification event of the year. In 2023, Cowtown Cleanup volunteers removed more than 170,000 pounds of trash from the city.

Registration for the event opens on Thursday, February 1. According to KFWB, all volunteers will be provided with litter cleanup supplies, including trash bags and gloves. The first 4,500 volunteers to register will also receive a free T-shirt. Individuals or groups can sign up at one of the pre-selected cleanup hubs or choose a public area of their own. To register, visit the Cowtown Great American Cleanup website.

In a statement, KFWB emphasized the importance of community participation in the cleanup efforts. "The Cowtown Great American Cleanup is a fantastic opportunity for Fort Worth residents to come together and make a positive impact on our city," said the spokesperson for KFWB.

After the cleanup, all KFWB volunteers are invited to attend the Earth Party celebration. This event is held to recognize and appreciate the hard work and dedication of the volunteers throughout the year. The celebration will feature food and drinks, live music and entertainment, animal adoptions, exhibitor promotions, and the annual Trashion Fashion Show.

One of the highlights of the Earth Party celebration is the Trashion Fashion Show, where participants create runway-ready looks using at least 50% trash or recyclable items. "We encourage everyone to get creative and showcase their talent in repurposing materials," said the spokesperson for KFWB. Prizes will be awarded to selected winners.

For organizations with environmental interests, there is an opportunity to become an exhibitor at the Earth Party celebration. Interested organizations can email KFWB for more information on how to participate.

The Cowtown Great American Cleanup and Earth Party celebration aim to promote environmental awareness, community involvement, and the importance of keeping Fort Worth beautiful. Join the event on Saturday, March 23, and contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable city.
