Fort Worth Municipal Court is hosting a Court in the Community/Warrant Forgiveness event on February 10th at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. This event is open to anyone who has outstanding citations with the Fort Worth Municipal Court.

Court Director William Rumuly encourages those with outstanding citations to contact the court immediately in order to resolve their cases. He states, "We are a Safe Harbor Court, meaning we do not arrest persons who come voluntarily to see us on their outstanding cases."

During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with municipal court staff and resolve their outstanding cases. They may be eligible for alternatives such as community service or a reduction in their fine based on their ability to pay.

For those interested in attending, there are fifty reserved spots and seventy walk-in spots available. To register or for more information, individuals can call 817-392-6700.

In addition to resolving outstanding cases, the Court in the Community event will also have community partners offering additional services. This event is specifically for Fort Worth citations, including traffic violations, ordinance violations, and penal code violations through the issuance of a citation.

Fort Worth is a Safe Harbor Court, which means that residents can always visit a Fort Worth Municipal Court location without fear of arrest for outstanding warrants issued by the court.

To learn more about this initiative and other court information, individuals can visit the court's website or call 817-392-6700 during business hours.
