Fort Worth Park & Recreation, in partnership with New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church, is gearing up to host the second annual Fun Over Guns | The Rube Foster Pitch, Hit & Run Competition on Saturday, April 20 at Gateway Park. The event aims to provide a platform for youth in Fort Worth to display their baseball and softball skills.

"We are excited to bring back this great opportunity for its second year," said Kyev Tatum, pastor of New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church and member of the Fort Worth Park & Recreation Advisory Board.

The competition, open to boys and girls aged 7-14, will allow participants to showcase their athletic abilities while promoting teamwork and healthy competition. Winners of the local event may even have the chance to advance to the national stage and compete during the 2024 MLB World Series.

Sponsored by Fort Worth Park & Recreation, New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church, Fort Worth Youth Outreach, Major League Baseball, and the Texas Rangers, this year's competition promises to be bigger and better than ever.

For those interested in participating or learning more about the event, they can contact Kyev Tatum at 817-966-7625.
