Fort Worth's newest South Division police station, located at 3501 W. Risinger Road, has officially opened its doors to the public. The facility, which became operational on Monday, April 1, replaces two outdated stations at 3128 W. Bolt St. and 7650 McCart Ave.
The $20 million project, approved for funding in the 2018 Bond Program with additional support from the Crime Control & Prevention District, marks a significant investment in enhancing law enforcement infrastructure in the city.
In a statement, the Fort Worth Police Department encouraged residents to remember, "For emergencies anytime, call 911." A grand opening event for the new facility is expected to take place later this year.
The new South Division police station represents a commitment to modernizing public safety services in Fort Worth, providing a more efficient and effective space for officers to serve the community.
