Fort Worth City Council recently approved a construction contract for the second phase of Trinity Boulevard. The contract was awarded to Jackson Construction Ltd. in the amount of $12,099,342 for the construction of a four-lane road, replacement of water transmission line and other improvements.
"This is a significant infrastructure development project that will enhance transportation and improve the City’s overall infrastructure."
Construction will begin in early fall 2024. The project in Council District 5 signifies a major investment in improving transportation infrastructure and will provide significant benefits to the community.
"This phase will continue from Phase 1 at Salado Trail to the existing concrete four-lane section of Trinity Boulevard at Thames Trail. The Transportation & Public Works Department will be building the same four-lane median divided concrete road with 10 sidewalks, illumination and landscaping, in addition to replacing the 36-inch waterline."
Phase 1 will have the pavement built by summer 2024, with remaining illumination and landscaping to be complete in fall 2024. Phase 2 will begin with waterline construction in fall 2024 with road construction to follow.
"The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is also looking to finish construction on IH-820 near Trinity Boulevard this summer."
