There were nine Pacific Islander students enrolled in Premier High Schools District in the 2022-23 school year, the same number as the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Premier High Schools District welcomed 7,117 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Pacific Islander students comprised 0.1% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Premier High Schools District roughly covers schools within Erath County and has a main office in Lewisville.

Among the 40 schools in Premier High Schools District, Premier High School Online recorded the highest enrollment of Pacific Islander students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of four students.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
