The annual Tarrant County Days event took place in Austin on February 10 and 11, coinciding with the 89th Texas Legislative Session. City of Fort Worth staff attended to engage with state legislators and other key figures.
During the two-day event, participants had the opportunity to network with elected officials, local leaders, and business representatives at the State Capitol. The agenda included discussions led by members of the Texas Legislature, such as Speaker Dustin Burrows. Fort Worth officials also held small group meetings with their delegation to address the city's legislative priorities.
The event serves as a platform for businesses and municipalities across Tarrant County to present their legislative goals to state officials. It facilitates direct engagement between representatives and their elected officials, promoting mutual understanding.
The gathering is organized by the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce along with the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce.
Fort Worth was represented by District 9 Councilmember Elizabeth Beck, Assistant City Manager Jesica McEachern, Deputy City Attorney Theresa James, and District 8 Councilmember Chris Nettles.
