On February 25, the Fort Worth City Council is set to review a proposal concerning zoning changes for several properties owned by Keller ISD. The plan involves rezoning 23 properties to a new Community Facilities (CF) district, which aligns more closely with educational and community use.

CF zoning is intended for locations such as schools, parks, and other community-based facilities. It ensures these areas remain accessible and meet the needs of nearby neighborhoods.

The properties in question are located within Council Districts 4, 7, and 10. The proposed changes include various current zoning classifications transitioning to "CF" Community Facilities:

- From “AG” Agricultural: 3340 High School Drive

- From “AR” One-Family Restricted: 8250 Parkwood Hill Blvd.

- From “AR” One-Family Restricted and “A-5” One-Family: 7900 N. Riverside Drive

- From “A-5” One-Family: Several addresses including 5401 Wall Price Keller Road and others listed

- Other specific property transitions include changes from residential, commercial, and industrial designations to CF.

On February 25, the City Council will decide whether to instruct staff to arrange public hearings on these zoning amendments. If approved, public hearings could be scheduled for March 12 with the Zoning Commission and March 25 with the City Council.
