The City Council has approved the purchase of 11.41 acres of land for $2.99 million to develop Paloma Park in northwest Fort Worth. The land, located at 5610 Ten Mile Bridge, features a gently rolling landscape and is lightly forested.

The acquisition from Hayco Realty Ltd. includes an in-kind donation of 3.8 acres valued at nearly $1.5 million. The parkland will be managed by the Park & Recreation Department following the Neighborhood and Community Park Dedication Policy and the Park, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan. This plan aims to provide adequate recreational areas through neighborhood-based and community-based parks.

The newly acquired property is situated in Council District 2 within Park Planning District 2, an area identified as underserved in terms of neighborhood-based parkland.
