On Tuesday, April 8, at 9 a.m., the City of Fort Worth is set to break ground on the Fort Worth Police Department’s (FWPD) new Northwest Patrol Division Facility. Located at 3900 Angle Ave, this initiative marks a significant move to enhance the efficiency and communication within FWPD's operations, particularly for those serving the Northwest Division community.

The new facility will house the FWPD Northwest Division Patrol Officers, Neighborhood Police Officers, Detectives, Code Blue, Bike Unit, and Division Administration. By consolidating the operations from a city-owned and a leased facility into one location, the new building aims to streamline and improve FWPD's service delivery.

Construction is slated to commence in April, with a completion date targeted for spring 2026. "Why it matters: The new facility will consolidate operations from an existing City-owned facility and a leased facility into one location. The consolidated facility will enhance FWPD’s operational ability to serve the Northwest Division community by increasing efficiency and communication."

A lineup of speakers for the groundbreaking ceremony includes key city figures such as Mayor Mattie Parker, City Councilmembers Carlos Flores and Macy Hill, along with City Manager Jay Chapa, Assistant City Manager William Johnson, Chief of Police Neil Noakes, Assistant Chief of Police Robert Alldredge, Northwest Division Commander Randy Molina, and other city officials.

The new 31,710-square-foot facility will not only support operational needs but also serve as a community focal point. "Rendering at top: The design incorporates a welcoming-entry front porch, prominent community room, roll call room, and office space."

FWPD Patrol Operations are pivotal in both crime prevention and emergency response, underlining the importance of this development.
