Want to stay in the know about the Texas Department of Transportation's Southeast Connector Project and how construction activity may affect your commute? Each Friday, the City of Arlington will share the latest information about the $2.1 billion project, which will rebuild and widen approximately 11 miles of I-20, I-820 and US 287 between now and 2027.
Special Messages: Southbound US 287 exit ramp to Village Creek Road closed Dec. 3 and is expected to reopen in Spring 2024. Traffic is detoured to the exit at Martin Street.
Northbound US 287 entrance ramp from Village Creek will close at 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 10. The ramp is expected to reopen in Spring 2024. Traffic will detour to enter at Miller Avenue.
Northbound I-820 from Martin Street to E. Berry Street will be closed from 11 p.m. Dec. 16 to 9 a.m. Dec. 17. Traffic will detour to frontage road and re-enter at E. Berry Street.

When complete, the Southeast Connector Project will tie in the east and southeast part of Tarrant County to the central part of the county while relieving congestion, increasing safety and improving efficiency for the entire Metroplex.

Eastbound I-20 at Wichita Street
• Nightly, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Nov. 9 through Dec. 1: Eastbound I-20 reduced to one lane between Wichita Street and Business 287.
Southbound US 287 at Village Creek Road
• Southbound US 287 reduced to one lane from Village Creek Road to Carey Street from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Nov. 9 through Dec. 15.
• Southbound US 287 closed at Village Creek Road 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Jan. 3.
Northbound US 287 at Village Creek Road
• Northbound US 287 reduced to one lane at Village Creek Road 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Jan. 3.
Northbound I-820 at Berry Street
• Nightly, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Jan. 2: Southbound I-820 reduced to one lane of traffic between E. Berry Street and Rosedale Street.
Southbound I-820 at Berry Street
• Nightly, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Dec. 1: Southbound I-820 reduced to one lane of between Berry Street and Martin Street.
Northbound I-820 at Martin Street
• Highway Closure: Northbound I-820 closed between Martin Street and Berry Street from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. through Jan. 3.
Eastbound I-20 at Anglin Drive
• Nightly, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. July 31 through Dec. 30: Eastbound I-20 reduced to two lanes between Anglin Drive and I-820.
Northbound I-820: I-20 to US 287
• Nightly, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Oct. 31 through Dec. 1: Left lane closed on I-820 northbound between I-20 and US 287.
Southbound I-820 at Ramey Ave.
• Southbound I-820 reduced to one lane between Ramey Avenue and Wilbarger Street through Dec. 29.
Westbound I-20 at Anglin Drive
• 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Nov. 6 through Dec. 2: Westbound I-20 reduced to one lane at Anglin Drive.
Southbound I-820 at Lancaster Avenue
• I-820 southbound reduced to one lane at Lancaster Avenue from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Dec. 6.
Westbound I-20 at Business 287
• 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Dec. 1: Two left lanes closed on westbound I-20 between Bowman Spring Road and Business 287.
Northbound US 287 at Martin Street
• 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Nov. 16 through Dec. 15: Northbound US 287 reduced to one lane between Martin Street and Village Creek Road.
Southbound I-820 at Meadowbrook Drive
• 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Dec. 23: Southbound I-820 reduced to one lane at Meadowbrook Drive.
