Most City offices in Fort Worth, Texas will be closed on January 15th in observance of Martin Luther King Day. This includes City Hall and other administrative buildings. However, emergency services will continue to be available as usual.
Residents can expect no changes in the garbage, recycling, yard waste, or bulk collection schedules. The City's four drop-off stations and the Environmental Collection Center will be closed on January 15th, reopening the following day.

Additionally, the North Animal Campus and the Chuck & Brenda Silcox Animal Care & Adoption Center will be closed on January 15th.

Several recreational facilities will also be affected by the holiday. All community centers, including the Haws Athletic Center, FW@6 programs, Log Cabin Village, and the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge, will be closed on January 15th. The water features at the Water Gardens will be turned off as well.
Golf enthusiasts should note that all municipal golf courses will be closed on Martin Luther King Day. Regular operating hours will resume on Tuesday, January 16th.

Trinity Metro, the public transportation system in Fort Worth, will operate on a modified schedule on January 15th. Residents are advised to check the full modified schedule for any changes to their usual routes.
