Fort Worth, Texas - The City of Fort Worth is set to host a Court in the Community Warrant Forgiveness Event on Saturday, March 23, 2024, aimed at helping residents clear their records and build a better future. The event will take place at Saintsville Cathedral on Oakhill Road from 9 a.m. to noon, with a maximum capacity of 120 attendees on a first-come, first-served basis.

"This event offers a safe and welcoming environment for individuals with outstanding citations," said a spokesperson for the event.

Attendees will have the opportunity to receive alternatives such as community service or a reduction in fines based on their financial situation, providing a valuable chance for individuals to resolve their legal obligations and move forward without the burden of outstanding warrants.

Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas will be present at the event, offering a range of legal services including family law, wills and estates, landlord/tenant cases, public benefits, federal tax, bankruptcy, and real property matters. Similarly, Goodwill North Central Texas will provide employment opportunities, job placement services, career counseling, and job readiness skills training at no cost.

"For those seeking support with rent, utilities, or job skills training, the City of Fort Worth EnVision Center and Community Action Partner will be on hand to assist," stated a representative.

The event aims to provide support for community members in need, with services being offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Those interested in learning more about the event or the services offered can visit FortWorthTexas.gov/municipalcourt or contact the Fort Worth Municipal Court at 817-393-6700 during business hours.
