After launching the annual budget process in March, City staff has made progress in preparing a recommended Fiscal Year 2025 General Fund budget. Currently, staff is projecting a $1.049 billion budget, representing a $35 million or 3.5% increase from FY24. Adjustments will be made as the budget process progresses. No tax rate has been set yet, and staff and council will need to agree on how to allocate funds.

City staff has been engaging with residents to gather their thoughts on the budget earlier than usual. This engagement was facilitated through a series of open houses starting in May and the Vision Summit on June 18.

Connect Fort Worth, a new online engagement platform, has enabled residents to provide feedback, find the budget timeline, learn about City Council priorities, or pin locations on a map that need attention during the budget planning.

Watch the video below to learn how to use the engagement tool and have your voice heard for the FY25 budget.
