It has never been easier to experience Fort Worth’s Log Cabin Village with free passes from the Fort Worth Public Library. Thanks to an existing partnership between the Library and Park & Recreation, the Admission Pass for Log Cabin Village has been updated and expanded. There are now 95 physical passes that can be checked out, and for the first time, 100 digital ePasses are offered.

Up to a party of four can use a pass for free general admission only, and they are valid for one week. Other rules apply.

"We are excited to partner with the Park & Recreation Department to offer more free admission passes to Log Cabin Village – with fewer restrictions," said Library Director Midori Clark. "The new digital passes make it easier than ever to enjoy what this unique historical location has to offer."

The Log Cabin Village is a living history museum owned and operated by the City of Fort Worth. The Village is dedicated to preserving 19th-century folk architecture and illustrating life on the Texas frontier.

"Log Cabin Village is here to serve all residents and visitors, and we don’t want the cost of admission to ever be a barrier," said Historic Site Supervisor Rena Lawrence. "We invite everyone to come spend time here at our beautiful 2.5-acre shaded site, interact with our historical interpreters, and escape the present and experience the past."

This past spring, the Library conducted a Story Time in the Park at Log Cabin Village, which included free admission to the Village on that particular morning. Based on that event’s success, story times are slated to return to the Village in April, May, and June 2025.

In addition to Log Cabin Village passes, the Library offers passes valid for free general admission to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden.
