The Fort Worth City Council is set to vote on the 2025 meeting schedule at its upcoming meeting on Tuesday, October 15. Once approved, the new schedule will be available on the City's website.
The proposed schedule includes a total of 52 City Council meetings. Additionally, eight Budget Workshops are planned for the City Council throughout the year. The council will also deliberate whether to hold a combination Work Session and Zoning Meeting on January 14 and consider a Zoning Meeting on March 11 during the National League of Cities event in Washington, D.C.
For residents attending these meetings, several conveniences are provided by the city. Free parking vouchers are offered for daytime attendees at the Houston Street Garage located at 1200 Houston St., opposite the Fort Worth Convention Center. These vouchers can be collected from a desk outside the City Council chambers starting 30 minutes before meetings begin until they conclude. Evening attendees benefit from free parking at downtown meters after 6 p.m.
Currently, all council meetings take place at Old City Hall due to ongoing construction of New Council Chambers at New City Hall. Residents wishing to speak at meetings must register no later than two hours before they commence, once agendas are posted online each Thursday prior to scheduled sessions.
Interpretation services can be requested for those needing them during council proceedings.
