Residents of Fort Worth have named the city's new street sweepers following a community contest organized by Environmental Services. In September, the public was invited to submit names for 12 new sweepers, resulting in over 1,300 entries. The submissions were narrowed down to 50 finalists, and last month residents voted for the final names.
The winning names will be displayed on each of the new street sweepers and also featured on the City’s Litter website. Contest winners will be contacted via email and receive a prize pack with environmentally themed items.
The city thanked participants for their involvement in the contest and their efforts in maintaining Fort Worth's cleanliness.
