The City of Fort Worth is set to break ground on two new fire stations, Fire Station 26 and Fire Station 37, with ceremonies scheduled for Tuesday, December 17.
Fire Station 26 will be a one-story facility serving as a two-company and battalion headquarters. It will be located on approximately 1.9 acres on the south side of South Drive West.
Similarly, Fire Station 37 will also be a one-story, two-company station situated on about 4.075 acres at the southeast corner of Alta Vista Road and Golden Triangle Boulevard.
Both facilities are designed by RPGA Design Group and constructed by Steele & Freeman. Features include a covered outdoor patio connected to a fitness room with a roll-up door, xeriscape landscaping, and full-station backup power generators.
In October, the Fort Worth City Council approved additional funding to replace three fire stations under the 2022 Bond Program. This funding underscores the city's commitment to enhancing emergency services infrastructure for community safety and development. The initiative aims to improve fire services across multiple districts to ensure readiness and rapid response capabilities.
