The City of Fort Worth, along with the Fort Worth Fire Department, will host the grand opening ceremony for Fire Station 43 on Tuesday, February 18, at 9 a.m. The new station is located at 2200 Walsh Ranch Parkway and is set to serve one of Fort Worth's fastest-growing areas on the west side of the city near I-30.

City Manager Jay Chapa, Assistant City Manager Dana Burghdoff, District 3 Councilmember Michael Crain, Fire Chief Jim Davis, and members of both the Walsh Ranch family and neighborhood community are expected to attend. The station aims to support residents in this rapidly expanding area that includes the Walsh Ranch development.

Fire Station 43 is situated on two acres of land donated by Walsh and has been funded by a bond approved by Fort Worth voters in 2014.

A photo from the groundbreaking event shows Mayor Mattie Parker alongside councilmembers, city leadership, and fire department leaders as they symbolically began construction.
