The Fort Worth Police Department is set to launch a new website on Wednesday, February 12. The updated site aims to provide a more modern and user-friendly experience for community members. It will be integrated with the City's main website, allowing both platforms to operate on the same system.
According to the department, "The new site will include a fresh look and feel with news, media and social media categories." This change means that the current Media Portal URL will become obsolete. Media partners and subscribers are advised to update their bookmarks and shortcuts to maintain access and receive alerts through the already active new URL.
Additional features of the revamped website include various tabs designed to enhance user experience. The Fort Worth Police Department acknowledges that there may be some minor issues following the launch, such as broken links or bugs. They encourage users to submit suggestions for improvements.
The department emphasizes its commitment to safety within the City and its community. The new website is expected to improve communication with residents and keep them informed about events affecting them. It also provides an opportunity for residents to engage more actively in community safety efforts.
