Fort Worth is set to celebrate the grand opening of its newly designed Council Chamber on Tuesday, March 25. This event marks a significant step in the city's commitment to modern governance and improved public experience.

The celebration will start at noon after the first official Council meeting in the new chamber. Guests will then proceed to a ribbon-cutting ceremony, which will include acknowledgments of contributions from the community, city leadership, and key stakeholders.

The event's highlight will be the ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by a commemorative group photo. City officials will deliver remarks reflecting on this milestone.

A food truck will be available near the back lot for refreshments, and parking is provided in front of the building and in the back surface lot off Forest Park for attendees' convenience.

This occasion goes beyond a simple ribbon-cutting; it symbolizes Fort Worth's growth and dedication to civic engagement. The new Council Chamber is designed as a forward-thinking space intended to serve residents for years ahead.

Formerly known as Pier One, the building has been transformed into a state-of-the-art City Hall. The addition of this 250-seat Council Chamber completes that vision. The adjacent plaza and green spaces enhance accessibility and encourage community gatherings. Inspired by "The Porch" concept, it aims to be Fort Worth’s unofficial "front porch," fostering community engagement and civic participation.

Together with City Hall, the Council Chamber offers residents a modern environment that consolidates city services, promotes interdepartmental collaboration, and incorporates advanced technology.

The City of Fort Worth invites residents to participate in this celebration marking a new era of governance and public service.
