As temperatures increase, the need for water conservation becomes more critical. Fort Worth Water is stepping up its enforcement of outdoor watering restrictions this summer. These restrictions were adopted by the City Council in 2014 as part of Ordinance No. 21194-04-2014 to promote efficient water use.

Customers who do not comply with the ordinance will receive notices and may face fees if violations occur during consecutive billing cycles.

To avoid these penalties, residents should adhere to Fort Worth's designated watering schedule. For those receiving a water conservation notice, the MyH2O portal is available as a free tool to track daily water usage, detect potential leaks, and adjust irrigation schedules before high bills or fees are incurred.
