The Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the City of Fort Worth, has launched a "Homelessness Toolkit" focused on aiding local businesses in handling challenges related to homelessness. This effort comes in response to business owners' concerns about the impact of homelessness on daily activities. A Chamber survey in 2023 found that 65% of 420 businesses experienced such impacts.

The Chamber's Homelessness Task Force, established in late 2024, collaborated with several stakeholders to develop the toolkit. Contributors included the City of Fort Worth Homeless Strategies, the Fort Worth Police Department, local business leaders, public improvement districts, nonprofit organizations, and community groups like the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber, Near Southside Inc., and Downtown Fort Worth Inc.

This toolkit provides best practices for dealing with homelessness-related challenges, suggestions for working with law enforcement and City services, and advice for community engagement. Available in English and Spanish, the toolkit can be accessed on the Fort Worth Chamber's website.
