The Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department is set to host its second annual pickleball tournament on Friday, June 13, at the Haws Athletics Center located at 600 Congress St. The event aims to provide an opportunity for participants of all skill levels to engage in a sport that is both easy to learn and potentially competitive.
Participants can enter the tournament for a fee of $10 per team. The competition will feature beginner, intermediate, and advanced divisions in mixed-doubles play. Each division will include one round robin of play.
For those interested but without a partner, there is an option to join the free agent list by emailing the organizers. Registration for the event closes on May 31.
Sonya Rodriguez can be contacted at 817-392-7690 for more information about the tournament.
Pickleball offers a chance for exercise and social interaction, making it accessible to anyone interested in participating.
