Last week, a closer look was provided into the transformation of a building originally designed for Pier 1 Imports in 2004, now serving as Fort Worth's new City Hall. The building's story was shared through the reflections of Merianne Roth, who previously headed communications for Pier 1 during its land purchase, design, and construction phases.

Roth recalled myriad memories from the project's formative days, and her recollections offered insights into the building's history. She shared, "I wish more of my former colleagues could see the building now and take in the beautiful municipal center it has come to be." Her memories highlighted the project's journey from idea to completion.

The story was accompanied by visual memories, including a photograph featuring a former City Manager, David Cooke, alongside Felice Girouard. Another notable moment documented was the Council Chamber's grand opening on March 25, attended by Felice Girouard, who was photographed with City Manager Jay Chapa and Mayor Mattie Parker following the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
