Valuation: Pricing for the median home in Tarrant County increased in February 2025 compared to February 2024

In February, the median sale price of a home in Tarrant County rose by $1,687 from the same period in the previous year, while total sales increased by 81.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

There were 2,140 homes sold in February, with a median sale price of $165,226 — a 1% increase over the $163,539 median sale price during the same period of the previous year. In comparison, 1,180 homes were sold in Tarrant County in February 2024.

The U.S. housing market has surged in recent years, with its total value approaching $50 trillion in 2024—nearly five times its value in 2000.

“The value of America’s housing market will likely cross the $50 trillion threshold in the next 12 months as there are not enough homes being listed to push prices down,” said Redfin Economics Research Lead Chen Zhao.
