The City of Irving is now offering micro grants up to $5,000 to assist child care providers who have been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 shutdown.

Applications will be accepted for the micro grants through Nov. 30 or until the available funding is exhausted, according to a release. Awards will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.

To be eligible for a micro grant, a child care provider has to be providing services to essential workers, be located in the City of Irving, be registered and licensed through Texas Health and Human Services, and have been in operation since before Jan. 1.

Applicants must also be up-to-date on all city taxes, and demonstrate they have had an income loss of at least 25% since March 1 that is related to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

A link for applying can be found on the city’s website.
