Tarrant County has received the Pritzker Children's Initiative Grant and will receive $550,000 over three years.

The Pritzker Children's Initiative Grant was established to help counties pursue programs and initiatives that will improve outcomes for children and toddlers in the region. Tarrant County was one of 10 counties that were ultimately selected from the grant after a year-long application process.

While Tarrant County will manage the funds, a coalition of more than 40 public and private organizations will collaborate to help continue the county's reputation of providing the infrastructure and programs necessary to improve outcomes of children in the country and surrounding areas. In addition, the county will join the national network of grant recipients and participants to share ideas, improve results and continue to work toward the shared goal of improving the future of the nation's children.
