The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada has presented the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the City of Corinth.
The Certificate of Achievement for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report is one of the highest forms of honor in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. Corinth's CAFR was assessed by a panel and judged to meet the high standards including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of disclosure” in an effort to clearly demonstrate its economic story and drive potential users and user groups to study the CAFR.
"This achievement is a remarkable testament to the level of governmental accounting and financial reporting our staff has set forth," City Manager Bob Hart said. "We are so appreciative of the staff’s consistent efforts to produce quality reports."
