In the fiscal year 2024, the City of Fort Worth reported collecting over 19 million pounds of litter and debris through various litter control initiatives. The efforts were part of a broader strategy to maintain a clean and safe environment in the city.

Environmental Services collaborated with other city departments to implement programs aimed at reducing litter. These included citywide cleanup events, volunteer-led initiatives, grant-funded programs, and partnerships with external organizations. "The City was able to make a positive impact for Fort Worth this year," officials stated.

The collected waste amounted to 19,666,130 pounds, with 218,586 pounds removed specifically through organized cleanup events and volunteer contributions.

Looking ahead to fiscal year 2025, Fort Worth plans to continue its current litter control programs. Six additional city-led cleanup events are already scheduled for the upcoming year.

Residents are encouraged to report litter issues using the MyFW app or by contacting the 311 Fort Worth Contact Center. Assistance is also available via phone at 817-392-1234 or through email communication.

Fort Worth's efforts reflect an ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and community involvement in maintaining public spaces.
